News and Happenings
The weather this summer has been exceptionally great bringing in lots of members and guests. We have had a lot of 1st timers visit too. Thanks for all your support spreading the word about GHR.
Check out our website, lots of new updates and a new look. All the drive thru sites have concrete pads and beautiful green lawns between each pad.
We look forward to a prosperous winter this year with Winter Texans. There were several Winter Texans that came by to check us last year. They were not aware we were here until they were already obligated to a textile resort. We look forward to them spending this winter at GHR.
Sandra is here every Saturday and stays pretty busy. She has been getting rave reviews for her massages. She will be here during the week if she has a 24 hour notice for at least two massages in one day. Call now and schedule an appointment for a massage. Phone: 361-727-0886
We would like to welcome Tinka & Rick. They are now permanent residents of GHR. Also we want to acknowledge Rob our new work camper. GHR would like to thank Bob and David for everything they have done to help us out as work campers.
We have a pot luck every Saturday night and always have more than enough food to go around. For those who didn’t contribute food, they have made a monetary contribution. Everyone enjoys visiting and making new friends at our pot lucks.
Our laundry mat has been up and running with our new front loader washers and dryers. GHR also supplies all the soap, fabric softener & bleach to our members and guests.

The best of the best of our potlucks was the 4th of July. We had a dance with a live band and all had a great time and are still talking about it. We had eight days of rain in July and the grass just jumped up out of the ground.
We can’t seem to talk too much about our Saturday night potlucks, as they have been very successful. There is always plenty to eat. If you are here on a Saturday night and have nothing to contribute, that’s OK since we always have more than enough to go around for all that are here.
If you are driving by, stop in and spend the day, no reservations required. If you would like to spend the night, no problem we usually have something available.
Welcome back Winter Texans, we missed you. We are looking forward to adding more winter Texans to our family here at Gulf Haven Resort. Ya’ll come!
